How my coffee vending machines business give us quality family time by caring for the baby ourselves.
Prior to starting my Coffee Vending business, I was like most of you, working from 9am to 9m. And not only, am I very tired, I was not enjoying any quality family time.
When my daughter is one year old, and after missing her first steps, her first words and her many first time, I decided that this is not the life that I wanted to have. I want to be able to be always there Looking After The Baby and not missed her growing up entirely.
So, having some savings, I decided to look for a business that I would be passionate about and that can provide me with a passive source of income. For a business to succeed, I know that 3 things are very important -the demand, the supply and the passion.
I decided to go into Coffee Vending business, not because that I am an expert in this area, but because I know that 90% of us drinks at least 2 cups of coffee everyday. That is my demand.
And although there are competition out there, the big coffee vending machines companies are having too many overheads to make a meaningful earnings. For me, I would only select the right locations to place my table top coffee machines.
Then, for the supply, after more than a decade servicing my customers, I know that there are many companies out there that wanted to have Coffee Vending, but do not know where to look for it.
If you would want to draw an analogy using my previous gifting industry experience: all of us know our language but yet when it comes to love message, why do we depend on the gifting companies to come out with “good” Love Note that is meant for our love one?
Similarly, many companies know about the Coffee Vending, but there are certain road blocks preventing them from getting it. I see my job now as eliminating those road blocks and bringing the coffee machines to them.
Fast forward one year, I have been in the coffee vending business for about one year. I work 3-4 hours per hour, the rest of the time was spend with my wife and looking after the baby daughter. I wasn’t earning as much as previously (mostly overtime pay anyway), but it was enough to get by and the quality time was more luxury than any material wealth…
